It’s been wonderfully busy month for Ladies NYC. We kicked off March’s full calendar with our monthly First Wednesdays Happy Hour at Sidebar in Union Square.
On Sunday, March 8th we celebrated International Women’s Day at a brunch that was equal parts delicious and inspiring. We had some very special guests, including our amazing Ladies America founder Lindsey Mask and Business Consultant & Lifestyle Architect Samira Salman. Conversations, connections and inspiration were shared over The Crooked Knife’s fantastic food and bottomless mimosas.
On Tuesday, March 24th, we partnered with Eventsy and Dolls of the City to give NY ladies a chance to relax and mingle at Ladies Night Out. An evening of appetizers, conversations and mini-makeovers, Ladies Night Out was hosted at Beautique Lounge & Restaurant, a gorgeous space inspired by Coco Chanel’s Paris home.
This month’s national theme is entrepreneurship, and the opportunities have never been greater or more exciting for women entrepreneurs than they are now. There are still, of course, significant challenges, but women are as always finding bold and creative ways to surmount them. In particular, we loved this month’s Forbes article on “How Women Entrepreneurs Bypass Obstacles to Fund Innovation”. It’s one of many recent articles that showcase how women can create and sustain successful ventures despite troubling imbalances in access.
After such an energizing month, we can’t wait to see what April will bring. Follow us on Twitter @ladies_nyc to see what we’re up to!
